geography

location US
text Data for amount of phosphoric acid production from statisitcs of IFA (International Fertiliser Agency). Data on phosphoric acid process from various studies made in Florida and from different literature sources concerning also other locations other than U.S. Data for processes used in Florida extrapolated for the whole United States. Only production from wet rock considered as in the mayority of the sites in Florida used. Data for production of fluosilic acid from one european study (EFMA). This data was was used for the whole U.S. production.

technology

Data refers to wet-phosphoric acid production from wet phosphate rock by the dihydrate process. Technology with cooling ponds and gypsum stacks as used in Florida was applied. Balanced water management assumed.
